What currency are Surf’n Gear orders placed in?

All prices shown on the Surf’n Gear website are in US dollars.

What forms of payment are accepted by Surf’n Gear?

Surf’n Gear accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.  We also accept PayPal.  We do not accept cash, check payment or COD (cash on delivery).

Can I order by phone, email or fax?

To protect your security, we only accept orders that are placed on the Surf’n Gear website. To place an order please use the shopping cart on our website.

What If I am ordering and there is an error in the checkout?

If you have any technical problems when placing your order, simply hit your “back” button to get back to your Shopping Cart and then proceed forward after reviewing your Shopping Cart to make sure it is correct. Please contact our Customer Service Department and we will assist you if your problem persists.

Can I make a change to an existing order?

Yes, you can make changes to your order up until your order has begun to be processed. If your order is already being processed, then contact our Customer Service Dept. directly on our toll free telephone number to request your order changes. Please note that not all changes can be guaranteed as the order may be too far into the shipping process. Taking a few minutes to carefully review your order prior to the Review & Purchase section of the ordering process is the best way to avoid errors. If your modification cannot be made, please remember that our returns process is easy and hassle free so we’ll be able to get you assist you regardless of the circumstances.

What happens after I place my order?

You will receive an order confirmation from Surf’n Gear Customer Service that will detail your Order Number, shipping method and anticipated delivery time.

Why didn’t I receive an email order confirmation?

If you did not receive a confirmation email within a few minutes of successfully placing your order then you may have entered your email address incorrectly. It’s also possible that your email server picked up our confirmation email as spam. All confirmation emails are sent from customerservice@surfngear.com . Contact us by phone or email with your full name and order number and we will confirm your order.

Can I send my Surf’n Gear purchase as a gift ?

Yes. Step 1 of the checkout process allows you to enter gift information. We will apply your gift message directly to the gift receipt (no prices reflected) for free. Make sure the shipping address reflects where you want the gift sent and the billing address reflects the buyer’s credit card information.

How do I cancel my order?

You may cancel your order up until your order has begun being processed. In the event of an order cancellation, please contact our Customer Service Department directly on our toll free telephone number or by email. If your order hasn’t been shipped yet we will send an email confirming the order cancellation.

Shipping FAQs

How long does it take to ship my order?

Orders placed before noon EST on any business day will ship within 24 hours. Orders placed on weekends, holidays, or after noon EST will ship within 24 hours from the following business day.

Once my order ships, how long will it take to reach me?

That depends on what you order, what shipping option you choose, and how close you live to the Surf’n Gear warehouse located in Charleston, SC. Using our standard ground shipping option we should be able to get your order to you in four days or less.

What is your “Free Shipping Offer”?

Domestic Standard Shipping is FREE for orders over $49! Valid only in the 50 U.S. States and APO/FPO. Not valid on US Territories and International Shipping. There is a flat rate shipping charge of $6.95 for all orders under $49 shipping via Domestic Standard Shipping.

Because of the weight of Yakima Tower Systems and Yakima Crossbars, our Free Shipping offer does not include Yakima products.  Shipping costs for Yakima products will be calculated based on the lowest shipping rate available.

What if I need my order delivered faster than your standard free shipping service?

We use USPS Priority Mail, FedEx or UPS for expedited delivery service. The shipping upcharges for all Express Shipping orders are: 2 Day Express Shipping – $9.95 Overnight Express Shipping – $12.95

How can I track the status of my order?

Whether you logged on to your account or used Guest Checkout, you can always check the status of your order: Click here. When your order ships from the Surf’n Gear warehouse, you will receive an email confirmation with your shipment tracking number and a link to the shipping company website. If you have any issues with this, please contact our Customer Service Department and we can assist you.

How do I know my order is shipped?

Once your order is confirmed by email it is processed by our warehouse and shipping department. When your order is picked up by the shipping carrier we will email you a shipping confirmation containing what you ordered, where it is going to as well as the tracking number and a link to the carrier’s site.

What happens if my order gets lost during shipping?

First, contact the shipping carrier that is delivering your order and provide them with the tracking number that was sent to you in your order confirmation email. If your items are unable to be located by the shipping carrier, contact us so we can follow up with the shipping carrier from our end.

What happens if I receive an incorrect item in my order?

If you receive an incorrect item in your order, please contact our Surf’n Gear Customer Service and we will arrange for the correct item to be sent to you and we’ll also set up an RA number (return authorization) for the incorrect item.

Product Returns FAQs

What Is Your Returns Policy?

Surf’n Gear is committed to complete customer satisfaction in the products that you order from us. If you receive merchandise that you are unhappy with for any reason, simply return it within 30 days – in the condition you received it for a full refund or store credit. After 30 days from the purchase date and within 90 days of the purchase date we will issue a you a store credit. Final sale and non-refundable items may not be eligible for a refund or store credit.

How do I return an item to Surf’n Gear?

First, please contact us prior to returning any items and we’ll issue you a Return Authorization number (RA number) for your return. NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGES will be issued if a product is returned without a Return Authorization number (RA number) clearly marked on the outside of the shipping container. When we issue you an RA number, we make detailed notes of why you are returning an item and what action we need to take once we receive your returned item.

Can I wear or use my purchase before returning it for credit or exchange?

All product returns must be unused/unopened and in the same condition they were in when you received them. We have the right to examine any returned products and determine whether or not to issue a refund or exchange. Shipping charges for returning non-defective items are not covered by Surf’n Gear.  Exchanges/Returns and Credits will be issued on a case-by-case basis

Where do I ship my product return?

All product returns should be shipped as follows: Surf’n Gear, RA Number _____, 789 Bradburn Dr., Mt. Pleasant, SC  29464.  If you have any questions, contact Surf’n Gear Customer Service directly.

Do you cover the shipping charges for product returns?

Shipping charges for returning non-defective items are not covered by Surf’n Gear.

What happens after you receive my product return?

If you are returning a product for exchange, we will process and ship your exchange within two business days.  If you are returning a product for credit, once we have evaluated the return and it has met our return product criteria and can be returned to our inventory, we will issue you a full credit if the return is received within 30 days of the purchase date or we will issue you a store credit if the return is recieved after 30 days but within 90 days of the purchase date.
